1. Zero Behavioral Tracking Guarantee
Parallettes is built on a strict zero behavioral tracking commitment. We do NOT collect behavioral analytics, screen tap heatmaps, or advertising profiles, nor do we sell or monetize your personal data. We strictly prohibit the installation of behavioral user tracking SDKs, advertising pixels, or marketing analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel). The App contains zero behavioral analytics tools.
2. Operational Data (Required for Service Access)
We strictly minimize data processing to what is technically essential to operate the Service. The subscription entitlement is verified securely in memory via our subscription infrastructure partner (RevenueCat) and processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card, banking, or financial billing details; all transactions are handled exclusively by Apple or Google.
3. Opt-In & User-Controlled Data
Every piece of data you create remains under your direct ownership and sovereign control. The following features are strictly opt-in and disabled by default:
- Account & Cloud Vault Sync: If you choose to enable cloud backup via Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, your training records are mirrored to an encrypted private vault on Google Cloud Platform to sync across your devices.
- Public Consistency Profile: If you choose to claim and enable a public training link (
parallettes.app/@handle), your chosen handle and read-only consistency stats (30-day calendar and 365-day rolling stats) are made viewable on the web. - Anonymized Crash Telemetry: To prevent data corruption and eliminate silent technical crashes, Parallettes includes hardware failure logging via Firebase Crashlytics. Crashlytics is an anonymized technical error reporter. It is NOT behavioral user tracking. This feature is disabled by default and can be toggled on or off at any time in the App's Settings menu. When enabled, Crashlytics collects anonymized raw system hardware stack traces solely to diagnose and resolve bugs and improve app stability.
4. Storage & Backup Options
Your training journal belongs entirely to you. We provide complete transparency and control over how your records are stored and backed up:
- Local On-Device Storage: Your complete training records (including logged sets, reps, hold times, custom exercises, programs, daily volume goals, local reminder schedules, and app preferences) are saved directly to secure local storage on your device for instantaneous, 100% offline access.
- Manual Local File Backup: You can perform manual local file exports and restores at any time, creating offline backup files of your complete training journal.
- Automatic Encrypted Cloud Backup: You may enable automatic, encrypted cloud backups powered by Google Cloud Platform to safeguard your training records and sync them across devices.
5. Third-Party Infrastructure Providers
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties. The only infrastructure providers used to deliver the Service are:
- Google Cloud Platform: Cloud authentication & encrypted database backup to securely authenticate your account session and maintain automatic encrypted backups of your training journal across devices.
- Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play) & RevenueCat: Billing transactions are handled exclusively by Apple or Google, while RevenueCat verifies your active membership entitlement in memory.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Anonymized system crash reporting to diagnose technical failures, resolve bugs, and improve overall app stability. This feature is disabled by default and strictly opt-in via Settings.
6. Data Deletion & In-App Danger Zone
You maintain absolute, sovereign ownership over your training records. To prevent accidental data loss while giving you complete self-service data destruction and account deletion rights, the Parallettes app provides a dedicated Danger Zone in Settings organized by escalating blast radius:
- Level 1 — Unlink Cloud Account: Disconnects your active Google or Apple session and pauses automatic cloud synchronization. Your training journal remains 100% safe on your local device, and existing cloud backups stay intact until you choose to sign in again. (Reversible, zero data loss).
- Level 2 — Delete Public Training Link: Instantly unpublishes your public web profile (
parallettes.app/@handle), purges your handle records from the public directory, and releases your handle back into the public pool for anyone else to claim. Your private cloud backups and local journal remain untouched. - Level 3 — Reset Training Journal: Resets your training journal to a fresh start by permanently wiping all logged sets, volume goals, custom movements, and programs across your device and your synced cloud account. Your underlying user account, subscription status, and claimed handle remain intact.
- Level 4 — Delete Cloud Account: Permanently and irreversibly destroys your encrypted cloud vault on Google Cloud, unclaims and deletes your registered handle, and purges your authentication account. Also offers the option to simultaneously wipe local device records.
Store Subscription Notice: Deleting your cloud account does NOT automatically cancel recurring subscriptions billed directly by Apple App Store or Google Play. You can manage or cancel your active subscription at any time via your device's Store Settings or via Settings → My Membership in the app.
Alternative Deletion Request by Email: In addition to instant in-app self-service, you may request complete account and cloud vault deletion at any time by emailing us at . Upon receiving your request, all cloud backup data will be permanently purged within 30 days with zero retention.
