1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Parallettes application ("App") or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the App or Service. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Subscription & Auto-Renewal Terms

Parallettes operates on a strict premium subscription model. Access to the App requires an active subscription or free trial:

• Free Trial: New users are granted a 30-day free trial. Unless canceled prior to the store's designated renewal processing window in accordance with Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies, the trial will automatically convert into a paid auto-renewing yearly subscription (Parallettes Annual Subscription at $9.99 USD / €9.99 EUR per year or equivalent localized store price tier as displayed at purchase in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, plus applicable taxes).
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew every year in accordance with Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing policies unless turned off prior to the store's scheduled renewal processing window. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase or at the end of the trial period.
• Cancellation & Refunds: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings (Google Play Store Subscriptions or iOS App Store Subscriptions). All subscription management, auto-renewal timing, billing schedules, and refund requests are strictly governed by the applicable store policies and terms of Apple or Google.

3. Physical Training & Medical Disclaimer

HEALTH & SAFETY WARNING: Parallettes is a digital training log and journal designed for tracking bodyweight and calisthenics exercises. It is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified physician or healthcare provider before initiating any physical exercise program. You acknowledge that bodyweight calisthenics and physical movement (including, but not limited to, training with parallettes, floor equipment, gymnastic rings, pull-up or dip bars, or any other bodyweight tools and apparatuses) involve inherent risks of physical injury. You assume full personal responsibility for your physical training, safety, and equipment usage.

4. User Data & Edge Database Ownership

Parallettes utilizes a Local-First relational architecture. All training logs, custom exercises, and volume targets recorded within the App reside primarily on your local device for instantaneous, offline access. While an encrypted secondary cloud backup is maintained on Google Cloud, you retain absolute ownership of your personal training records. 5. Intellectual Property Rights

All visual designs, user interfaces, branding assets, custom logos, source code, and underlying software algorithms associated with Parallettes are the exclusive intellectual property of Parallettes. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial training logging.

6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE APP AND SERVICE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. PARALLETTES DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PARALLETTES, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY PHYSICAL INJURY, HEALTH COMPLICATION, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM PHYSICAL EXERCISES TRACKED WITHIN THE APP; OR (C) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. INDEMNIFICATION

YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS PARALLETTES AND ITS OPERATORS FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND EXPENSES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION REASONABLE LEGAL FEES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE, OR YOUR VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Parallettes operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration or individual small claims court.
